New Orleans Fun

New Orleans could be one of the funnest cities I have ever been too.  The food, the drinks, the people and the art was fantastic! Although small, my favorite restaurant there was Huck Finns Cafe huckfinnscafe.com.  They had a little something for everyone and even carry there own Cajun seasoning that you can purchase online here (Actually, they will send it in the mail to you if you contact them).  I was thrilled to be able to bring a little taste of Louisiana home with me.

Another favorite place of mine was Cafe Del Monde.  Established in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market, open 24 hours a day.  The Cafe is known for there beignets that are purely amazing!!

Other places I would suggest visiting in Louisiana are Oak Alley Plantation (Beautiful), Laural Plantation, Commanders Palace, a New Orleans cemetery and who could forget Bourbon Street? (the frozen margaritas sold all over are amazing)

I was very luck to experience "bead tossing" while I was on Bourbon street.  A local bar invite my group of friends on the balcony and we thew out beads for about a hour.  It's so crazy what people will do for a cheap strand of beads.  None the less, it was a moment I will never forget.

If you are thinking about taking a trip to New Orleans, Louisiana I would strongly suggest it.  I know I will be going back some day - hopefully sooner rather than later. Cheers!

Death by Decoration

Home decorating is one of my favorite things ever!  I have been in my new home a little over a year and I have been a busy bee trying to get everything settled and organized. I have finally finished the fireplace section in our living room. The art over the fireplace is a favorite find of mine from Home Goods, the baskets on the bottom are also from there. The green elephant was from Joss and Main (great site) last but not least the colored bottles are a combination from Hobby Lobby, TJ Max and my great aunt.

Coffee table decorating is another guilty pleasure of mine. Below is my current showcase; a mercury gold candle holder, a spiky star shape item and a gold beetle bug. All of these were purchased on my recent visit to the Lakes of the Ozarks.

The Perfect File Cabinet

Hello all, I have been looking for the PERFECT file cabinet for a long time.  Well I happen to stubble across it tonight.  It comes in a variety of colors and the quality looks great too - I cannot wait to set it up in my office!! I found it on poppin.com. They have very decent prices and all things amazing for the office - why use something ordinary when it can be extraordinary? that is my motto, so I find poppin to be my new favorite office supply store.
